POSITION DETAILS

Addictions Recovery Center, Inc (ARC) in Medford, Oregon is a behavioral health agency providing a trauma-informed, comprehensive continuum of substance use and co-occurring mental health disorder treatment services in Southern Oregon. We are seeking full time Recovery Opportunity Court/Forensic Outpatient (ROC/FOP) Certified Recovery Mentors to join our organization to enhance client wellbeing by providing personalized guidance, empathy, and practical coping strategies essential for sustained recovery and long-term wellbeing.

ARC ROC/FOP Certified Recovery Mentors work full time as part of a dedicated multi-disciplinary team providing emotional and informational support to clients receiving substance use disorder (SUD) treatment services in a variety of settings, They have relevant lived experience, are familiar with treatment court operations (e.g. program staff or alumni), and meet the requirements for certification set by MHACBO. ARC ROC/FOP Certified Recovery Mentors provide services using proven clinical practices and a trauma-informed approach while representing ARC’s Mission and Guiding Principles.

Successful candidates will work a schedule that includes weekends and various shifts.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Advocating and reporting client progression at both internally aat ARC and externally according to court developed policies and guidelines
  • Attending and reporting client progress at weekly court sessions
  • Providing evidence-based services and referrals compatible with the philosophy and theory of recognized CRM/PSS models
  • Maintaining client records, documentation, and tracking in accordance with Addictions Recovery Center Policy and Procedures as well as Oregon Administrative Rule requirements
  • Maintaining electronic court records for clients participating in court programs
  • Assisting clients with engagement in the recovery process and reducing the likelihood of relapse
  • Demonstrating a positive response to growth and change with clients, the ARC team, and the community
  • Maintaining ongoing education and training related to recognized best practices, evidence-based practices, and theories of addiction, treatment, and CRM recovery support
  • Providing Self Sufficiency Assessments for participants to measure their abilities and progress related to daily care and functioning, life skills development and measured progress throughout care
  • Providing all services in accordance with HIPPA and CFR 42 PART II policies and regulations

EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS & SKILLS

Education, Credentials and Skills should include:

  • Valid CRM certification through MHACBO and/or OHA Peer Support Specialist – Adult Addiction, required, or the ARC may assist an otherwise qualified and selected candidate with obtaining THW/CRM certification
  • High School diploma or equivalent, preferred
  • Valid driver license and proof of insurance
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or obtain within 90 days of hire)
  • Moderate competency in computer use, keyboarding, and MS Office products
  • Ability to gather and assess patient/client information to evaluate needs
  • Knowledge/experience in Motivational Interviewing, a plus
  • Volunteer or other work experience and/or knowledge with community resources, critical
  • Ability to provide skilled, trauma-informed crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
  • Spanish bilingual preferred

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Compensation and benefits include:

  • Most ARC employees are scheduled four-days a week to support their ability to maintain a healthy work and life balance; medical and sobering positions are scheduled to work three days a week
  • Starting salary for candidate with CRM certification ranging from $44,212.48 to $50,844.35 annually, depending on credentials, skills and experience
  • Starting wage for a candidate needing CRM training/certification is $21.38 per hour
  • Three (3) to six (6) weeks of Vacation accrued per year, based upon years of service
  • Sick time is accrued for all employees based on regularly scheduled hours
  • Ten (10) Paid Holidays each year: New Year’s, MLK Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day
