Addictions Recovery Center, Inc (ARC) in Medford, Oregon is a behavioral health agency providing a trauma-informed, comprehensive continuum of substance use and co-occurring mental health disorder treatment services in Southern Oregon. We are seeking a full-time RN to join the ARC team in our Fresh Start Withdrawal Management program to provide trauma-informed patient care to clients during the early first steps of their recovery journey.

ARC RNs play a vital role in the treatment of patients undergoing withdrawal management from substances. They not only provide medical care, but also a holistic awareness of the patient’s need for support, which is equally as important for addressing the behavioral health aspects of addiction. ARC RNs provide a professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate presence to ensure a safe and supportive environment, reduce patient anxiety, and help foster a therapeutic alliance, which are all critical for an individual’s successful recovery and long-term wellbeing.

The successful candidates will work approximately 36 hours a week in our medically monitored detox and withdrawal management unit in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team of providers. Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Working under the direction of the Medical Director
  • Providing withdrawal management and care to patients in advance of potential admission into residential treatment
  • Working with clients and the public with a trauma-informed and compassionate approach.
  • Maintaining and administering medications as ordered
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and medication logs

Education, Credentials and Skills should include:

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) school of nursing
  • Current Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Experience in addictions treatment or similar settings preferred
  • Ability to perform pre-admission medical screening, nursing assessments, and collect other pertinent medical data.
  • Maintain and follow provider orders and instructions.
  • Accurately complete required chart notes and patient records.
  • Passion for trauma-informed patient care and service for at-risk and vulnerable patients.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently with frequent interruptions.
  • Strong organizational abilities.
  • Moderate computer proficiency, including MS office.
  • Spanish bilingual preferred


Compensation and benefits include:

  • Most ARC employees are scheduled four-days a week to support their ability to maintain a healthy work and life balance; medical and sobering positions are scheduled to work three days a week
  • Starting wage ranging from $46.00 to $55.20 an hour, depending on credentials, skills, and experience
  • Three (3) to six (6) weeks of Vacation accrued per year, based upon years of service
  • Sick time is accrued for all employees based on regularly scheduled hours
  • Ten (10) Paid Holidays each year: New Year’s, MLK Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day
