POSITION DETAILS
Addictions Recovery Center, Inc (ARC) in Medford, Oregon is a behavioral health agency providing a trauma-informed, comprehensive continuum of substance use and co-occurring mental health disorder treatment services in Southern Oregon. We are seeking a full-time Residential CADC Counselor to join our professional treatment organization and provide direct services to clients receiving addictions treatment and care in the residential treatment unit.
The Residential CADC Counselor works in a fast-paced environment in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team and effectively provides care within the scope of the position, employing a sensitive and trauma-informed approach.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Provide evidence-based clinical services and maintain clinical integrity
- Maintain all client information according to records security guidelines and HIPAA/CFR 42 PART II policies
- Attend regular clinical supervision and group clinical supervision sessions
- Model a lifestyle consistent with recovery principles and Addictions Recovery Center values.
- Develop and present educational components to clients, families, and public forums
- Maintain required licensure/certification and stay updated on best practices and theories of addiction and recovery
- Provide treatment using various therapeutic and counseling techniques
- Develop and maintain a caseload, ensuring all client case management records are up-to-date and accurate
- Participate in clinical staffing and present case files during weekly staffing meetings
- Administer and interpret diagnostic testing and screening, and assign/monitor urine analysis for clients
- Collaborate with other staff as part of a multi-disciplinary care team, promoting a positive response to change and maintaining timely reporting for referral sources

EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS & SKILLS
Education, Credentials and Skills should include:
- Required post-secondary education in behavioral health or related field
- CADC I, II, III certification OR ability to obtain CADC certification within one year of date of hire
- Strong understanding of clinical practices and guidelines in addiction treatment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records and other relevant software
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA and CFR 42 PART II policies
- Ability to provide evidence-based therapeutic and counseling techniques
- Capacity to model healthy behaviors and coping strategies consistent with recovery principles.
- Skilled in crisis intervention and utilizing a trauma-informed approach
- Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and clinical integrity
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Compensation and benefits include:
- Most ARC employees are scheduled four-days a week to support their ability to maintain a healthy work and life balance; medical and sobering positions are scheduled to work three days a week
- Annual salary for candidates ranges from $51,000.00 to $64,896.00, depending on credentials, skills, and experience.
- Three (3) to six (6) weeks of Vacation accrued per year, based upon years of service
- Sick time is accrued for all employees based on regularly scheduled hours
- Ten (10) Paid Holidays each year: New Year’s, MLK Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day
