POSITION DETAILS

Addictions Recovery Center, Inc (ARC) in Medford, Oregon is a multidisciplinary behavioral health agency providing a trauma-informed, comprehensive continuum of substance use and co-occurring mental health disorder treatment services in Southern Oregon. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Assistant to support our HR team as they foster a supportive and inclusive work environment for ARC staff, promote work-life balance, and provide resources for personal and professional development, which contributes to the success of the agency and overall wellbeing of the team.

ARC’s Human Resources Assistant provides crucial support to the HR department by assisting in various administrative tasks and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of ARC HR. They play an important role in helping the management of employee relations, facilitation of professional development, and compliance with labor laws. The Human Resources Assistant also supports the recruitment and retention of top talent, which directly influences productivity, overall effectiveness, and team morale.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Ensuring compliance with record-keeping and documentation requirements
  • Assisting the HR Generalist in the recruitment process, including applicant tracking, phone screening and reference checks
  • Coordinating pre-employment contingencies for candidates in the final stages of the recruitment process
  • Facilitating the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition
  • Coordinating orientation sessions and assist in the completion of onboarding paperwork
  • Responding to employee queries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs
  • Managing Human Resources inbox and calendar in collaboration with human resources team
  • Assisting in implementation and upkeep of new HRIS system
  • Contributing to HR projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing the employee experience
  • Collaborating with the HR team on process improvements and innovation

This position is generally scheduled Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS & SKILLS

Education, Credentials and Skills should include:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Associates degree preferred
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience as an HR Assistant or in a comparable administrative role
  • Strong computer and data entry proficiency
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Highest level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of HR laws and regulations preferred
  • Understanding of and compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR PART II
  • High organization, strong communications, and listening skills a must

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Compensation and benefits include:

  • Most ARC employees are scheduled four-days a week to support their ability to maintain a healthy work and life balance; medical and sobering positions are scheduled to work three days a week
  • Starting wage ranging from $25.50 to $29.33 annually, depending on credentials, skills, and experience
  • Three (3) to six (6) weeks of Vacation accrued per year, based upon years of service
  • Sick time is accrued for all employees based on regularly scheduled hours
  • Ten (10) Paid Holidays each year: New Year’s, MLK Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day
