POSITION DETAILS

Addictions Recovery Center, Inc. (ARC) located in Medford, Oregon is a diverse behavioral health agency offering a trauma-informed, comprehensive continuum of treatment services for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders in the Southern Oregon region. We are currently seeking an individual with specialized training and hands-on experience in maintaining professional facilities to ensure an optimal environment for both the ARC team as well as the clients and patients we serve as they take their early first steps on their recovery journey.

ARC’s Facilities Specialist fosters a sense of security and well-being for clients, patients, and staff by ensuring that our environments are safe, clean, and conducive to healing. Their expertise and attention to detail minimizes disruptions to services, and their ability to swiftly resolve maintenance issues and adapt to client needs enhances the treatment experience, which in turn improves the overall quality of care. ARC’s Facilities Specialist upholds a consistent, professional standard across all locations, adheres to routine and long-term maintenance schedules, addresses day-to-day facility needs, and complies with essential regulatory standards, as well as the agency’s Mission and Guiding Principles.

Occasional on-call availability required. The successful candidate must be available on-call as needed during evenings, weekends, or holidays to address urgent matters or emergencies.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Performing routine maintenance tasks, including equipment, buildings, grounds, and agency vehicles
  • Resolving facilities-related issues from inception to completion, tracking progress, and ensuring timely fulfillment within designated timelines
  • Addressing safety hazards and risks promptly, including trip hazards, fire hazards, and potential security breaches
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all facilities, living areas, common spaces, and outdoor areas
  • Collaborating with the facilities team to ensure the timely completion of landscaping and janitorial tasks, while communicating any pertinent issues or observations to Facilities leadership for swift resolution
  • Conducting regular inspections of the facility to ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
  • Ensuring that outdoor areas are safe, well-maintained, and aesthetically pleasing for staff, clients, and visitors

EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS & SKILLS

Education, Credentials and Skills should include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical or vocational training in facilities maintenance preferred
  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record may be required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance, construction, or a related field
  • Knowledge of building systems and equipment, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair facility-related issues independently and efficiently
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, and external vendors
  • Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and maintaining a positive living environment for clients

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Compensation and benefits include:

  • Most ARC employees are scheduled four-days a week to support their ability to maintain a healthy work and life balance; medical and sobering positions are scheduled to work three days a week
  • Starting salary ranging from $21.75 to $25.01 hourly, depending on credentials, skills, and experience;
  • Three (3) to six (6) weeks of Vacation accrued per year, based upon years of service
  • Sick time is accrued for all employees based on regularly scheduled hours
  • Ten (10) Paid Holidays each year: New Year’s, MLK Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day
