POSITION DETAILS

Addictions Recovery Center, Inc (ARC) in Medford, Oregon is a behavioral health agency providing a trauma-informed, comprehensive continuum of substance use and co-occurring mental health disorder treatment services in Southern Oregon. We are seeking a full time Admissions Specialist to be a key point of contact for individuals looking for a life in recovery.

ARC Admissions Specialists work directly with potential and existing clients, serving as the critical first point of contact processing admissions and coordinating ongoing care with a compassionate and trauma-informed approach. They are well-organized, computer proficient, detail-oriented individuals with exceptional client service skills.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Respond promptly to all calls and emails within a 24-hour timeframe
  • Conduct diligent follow-up with potential clients who have shown interest in or have been referred to ARC services
  • Review insurance information for all potential clients, ensuring accuracy in prior authorizations and medication coverage
  • Guide potential clients through the initial admission process with empathy and professionalism
  • Collaborate with clinical staff, referral sources, and community organizations to coordinate client referrals and admissions
  • Review and communicate the anticipated financial responsibilities of clients during the intake procedure
  • Provide information and guidance to clients and their families about available treatment programs, services, and resources
  • Serve as a liaison between clients, treatment providers, and other stakeholders to ensure continuity of care
  • Facilitate client intake procedures, meticulously completing all required admission paperwork
  • Proactively identify and address potential barriers to admission, devising effective solutions to ensure seamless access to treatment
  • Assist clients in accessing peer support resources to enhance their journey towards recovery

This position is generally scheduled Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS & SKILLS

Education, Credentials and Skills should include:

  • One year of experience in patient intake and insurance authorization in medical, substance use disorder treatment, or other behavioral health service settings preferred
  • Ability to work directly with patients to assess needs
  • Performing duties with a professional demeanor
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Ability to work efficiently while managing tasks
  • Strong organizational skills

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS



Compensation and benefits include:

  • Most ARC employees are scheduled four-days a week to support their ability to maintain a healthy work and life balance; medical and sobering positions are scheduled to work three days a week
  • Starting wage for an Admissions Specialist ranging from $24.00 – $27.60 hourly, depending on credentials, skills, and experience
  • Three (3) to six (6) weeks of Vacation accrued per year, based upon years of service
  • Sick time is accrued for all employees based on regularly scheduled hours
  • Ten (10) Paid Holidays each year: New Year’s, MLK Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day
