Addictions Recovery Center is searching for a talented, knowledgeable Staff Accountant to work with our dedicated finance team. The successful candidate will report to the Chief Finance Officer (CFO). This is a full-time position.
The successful candidate will fulfill the following duties and expectations:
• Reconcile and balance QuickBooks financial accounts/data;
• Manage contract receivables, including invoicing and payment processing;
• Manage donor receivables, including invoicing, payment processing and gift letters;
• Process accounts payable check runs;
• Post journal entries to assist with month and year-end process;
• Assist in researching financial data for analysis;
• Provide accurate, timely, and relevant recording of financial information;
• Produce accurate and timely reporting as assigned; and
• Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
Credentials/Skills required include:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and 2-5 years’ experience;
• Demonstrate advanced skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications;
• Experience with QuickBooks;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization;
• Strong communications and listening skills;
• Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation;
• Highly detail-oriented; and
• Previous grant compliance and reporting experience a plus.
Compensation and benefits, including:
•Competitive salary ranges from $54,873 to $70,992 depending on skills and experience;;
• $1500 sign-on bonus for the successful candidate (paid in two installments: 50% at three months active employment and remaining 50% at six months active employment);
