Addictions Recovery Center in Medford, Oregon is seeking a well-organized individual with advanced medical training and excellent client care/service skills to join our team of treatment professionals and provide medical support in our Residential units.
The successful candidate will work full-time providing and monitoring medical support and patient-centered care for residential clients with a compassionate and trauma-informed approach. Duties will include but are not limited to:
• Provide medical care as directed and within scope of license/certification;
• Assist with pre-admission screening for those on the unit wait list;
• Oversee patient medication self-administration;
• Facilitate weekly group education meetings
• Medication inventory, ordering, storage, disposal, etc.;
• Assist clients with medical, dental, and specialty care appointments
• Performs necessary testing at admission for new and existing clients as required;
• Maintain all client medical documentation.
Credentials/Skills required include:
• Advanced medical training/certification, as accepted by Addictions Recovery Center;
• Requires active CPR/First Aid Certification;
• Knowledge and experience with client care in addictions treatment, medical, or other human services environment, a plus;
• Professional demeanor, excellent communication skills;
• Moderate competency in computer use, keyboarding, and MS Office products;
• Commitment to client/patient success and great listening skills, a must;
• Ability to provide trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, and de-escalation techniques;
The Residential Unit provides services 24 hours per day/7 days per week and the Medical Technician may occasionally work on-call, including graveyard, weekends, and holidays.
