Electrical Malfunction Caused ARC Fire – Mail Tribune, November 25th 2019
MEDFORD, Ore. – The fire that destroyed much of the attic and roof at an Addictions Recovery Center building in east Medford likely was started because of an electrical malfunction in the attic, Medford Fire-Rescue officials said Monday.
But while fire investigators are confident in their findings, they still hope to dig deeper and pinpoint a specific culprit.

UPDATE ON THE ARC EAST MAIN FIRE:
Hello all! We wanted to touch base regarding the fire that happened at the outpatient services building on our East Main campus last weekend.
After much hard work and planning, leadership was able to move impacted staff and group meetings in advance of offices reopening after the long holiday weekend. As it happened, we were able to open at 8:00a on Tuesday without any interruption of services… thank you, team!
The investigation into the cause of the fire is underway, though it has been determined that it occurred in the building’s attic when no one was in the building. We will share more information when it becomes available in the coming days. Once again we would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to Medford Fire-Rescue for their quick response and amazing service.
We would also like to extend our most sincere thanks for the offers of help we have received from our clients and community partners every day since the incident. We are grateful to have partners that are so selfless and kind, and we are lucky to serve those that want to give back as much as they receive – if not more. It is a true testament to the community that we live in.
And speaking of that, we also want to thank you – our community – for your support through this trying time. We knew before this incident that we were fortunate to serve in a community as tight-knit as ours, but we have been reminded in the days following this tragedy just how lucky we truly are. And while it is often said here, amongst the staff, we have been reminded these last few days that what is true for us is true for our community – WE ARE #ARCSTRONG
