Addictions Recovery Center, Inc (ARC) in Medford, Oregon is a diverse behavioral health agency providing a trauma-informed, comprehensive continuum of substance use and co-occurring mental health disorder treatment services in Southern Oregon. We are seeking full-time Certified Recovery Mentors (CRMs) to join our licensed, professional treatment organization as part of our recovery support team and use their lived experience to offer the individuals and families we serve a healthier way of life.

ARC CRMs work full-time as part of a dedicated multi-disciplinary team providing emotional and practical supports to clients receiving substance use disorder (SUD) treatment. They provide services using a professional, trauma-informed approach and proven clinical practices while representing ARC’s Guiding Principles. Successful candidates must meet the requirements set by MHACBO for certification and have the ability to provide services with a work schedule that includes weekends and various shifts.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Providing trauma-informed support, encouragement, and resources to clients
  • Fostering a supportive and empowering environment conducive to recovery
  • Collaborating with treatment team members to develop and implement individualized recovery plans
  • Facilitating group activities and discussions aimed at promoting self-awareness and personal growth
  • Serving as a positive role model and mentor to clients, demonstrating healthy coping strategies and behaviors
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of client interactions and progress toward treatment goals

This position is generally scheduled Friday through Monday, 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Education, Credentials and Skills should include:

  • Valid CRM certification through MHACBO and/or OHA Peer Support Specialist – Adult Addiction, required, or the ARC may assist an otherwise qualified and selected candidate with obtaining THW/CRM certification
  • High School diploma or equivalent, preferred
  • Valid driver license and proof of insurance
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or obtain within 90 days of hire)
  • Moderate competency in computer use, keyboarding, and MS Office products
  • Ability to gather and assess patient/client information to evaluate needs
  • Knowledge/experience in Motivational Interviewing, a plus
  • Volunteer or other work experience and/or knowledge with community resources, critical
  • Ability to provide skilled, trauma-informed crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
  • Spanish bilingual preferred


Compensation and benefits include:

  • Most ARC employees are scheduled four-days a week to support their ability to maintain a healthy work and life balance; medical and sobering positions are scheduled to work three days a week
  • Starting salary for candidate with CRM certification ranging from $44,212.48 to $50,844.35 annually, depending on credentials, skills and experience
  • Starting wage for a candidate needing CRM training/certification is $21.38 per hour
  • Employer-paid licensing, renewal, and certification fees
  • Three (3) to six (6) weeks of Vacation accrued per year, based upon years of service
  • Sick time is accrued for all employees based on regularly scheduled hours
  • Ten (10) Paid Holidays each year: New Year’s, MLK Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day
