Physical Effects of Speedballing & Increasing Reports of Usage in Jackson County

Our Director of Clinical & Behavioral Health Services, Dr Inaba gave a strong interview to ABC on September 14, 2014, regarding Speedballing. The term Speedballing refers to a combination of Meth and Herion, used at the same time. Reports of both usage and abuse are on the rise in Jackson County. “The withdrawal symptoms are much more fierce. Not only do they have the physical withdrawal, the aches and pains and the craving for the heroin, but then they go through the mental anguish and the depression caused by the withdrawal from methamphetamine,” Dr. Inaba said. There is help available for Speedballers. Here, at Addictions Recovery Center, we have specialized treatment programs to help individuals get sober from this potentially fatal addiction.
