Addictions Recovery Center in Medford, Oregon is seeking a fulltime Peer Support Specialist to aid and mentor clients in our Residential, inpatient program.

Applicants will self-identify as having direct personal experience in sustaining a sober lifestyle, and demonstrate a dedication to a life free from alcohol and drug addiction.

As a Peer Support Specialist, the successful candidate will support clients in our residential living unit by helping them with transportation arrangements, child care issues, basic food and shelter needs as well as other outside issues requiring assistance. Duties also include helping clients identify healthy support groups – such as 12-step community support meetings and/or spiritual-based support.

High School or General Education Diploma (GED) and two (2) years of sobriety are required; experience that evidences work with the public or providing peer support preferred. Applicants must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen. Certification through the Addictions Counselor Certification Board of Oregon (ACCBO) upon completion of training. Salary DOE.
