We have many opportunities for volunteering and we welcome community involvement. Here are some of the ways that you can get involved:
Funded in part through WiLL of United Way of Jackson County, our goal for the Walk With Me Mentoring Program is to stabilize women in substance abuse treatment and recovery by providing individual and family support services and eliminating barriers to successful recovery. In this program, women help women through a mentor and mentee relationship. If you would like to volunteer, contact Lisa Parmentor lisap@addictionsrecovery.org or call 541-779-1282.
Our Residential Unit often transports our clients to off-campus 12 step meetings. We rely on community volunteers to transport ARC clients to these meetings. Volunteers are required to have a current driver’s license and must be cleared through our Insurance provider. If you would like to volunteer, contact Lisa Parmentor lisap@addictionsrecovery.org or call 541-779-1282.
When we decided to remodel our client dorms, much of the work was done by volunteers. Maintenance volunteer positions generally focus on special projects, like remodeling and landscaping ventures. For an overview of our current and future projects, contact Bob Bowers, maintenance engineer, at bobb@addictionsrecovery.org.
At Addictions Recovery Center we have a many events throughout the year, from annual open houses and fund raisers to special commemorative events. If you would like to volunteer with event planning or fundraising activities, contact Matthew Vorderstrasse at matthewv@addictionsrecovery.org.
If you would like to get involved, we would love to have you! To set up an official volunteer position, contact Lisa Parmenter, volunteer coordinator, at 541-779-1282, or by email at lisap@addictionsrecovery.org
